Founder of Respafrica Tours, Philibert is a travel passionate and expert with 20 professional experience including 15 in travel and tourism. He has extensive and hands-on travel experience with East and Subsaharan Africa destinations including Rwanda (more than 14 years with Rwanda tourism); Kenya, Tanzania-mainland and Zanzibar, Uganda and South Africa. Philibert has successfully handled hundreds of individual travel experiences, educational trips for international travel celebrities, international tour operators, travel agencies, travel philanthropists and HNWI.

Holder of Master of Science (with Distinction) in Responsible Tourism from Leeds Beckett University-United Kingdom, Philibert is a proactive advocate for responsible tourism and change from “just travel” to “travel responsibly”. He is the Author or an insightful responsible tourism work: “Promoting Community-based tourism in Rwanda: A Contribution to Responsible tourism, the role of Tour Operators challenges and opportunities”. This business research work represents a call for tour operators to add community tourism to their travel offer to allow more economic benefits to visited communities.
